Olivia’s Approach
Olivia is committed to listening to your story and nurturing growth and healing. She believes in creating a safe space where deep insights can be gained and effective coping strategies developed, so clients can feel safer in their mind and body and move toward being the best version of themselves.
With a background in social services, Olivia has developed a strong passion for working with youth and families, individuals, and couples. Her experience includes supporting people with substance use, problematic behaviours in youth, anger management, trauma, emotional regulation, and youth in care. She believes in personalized treatment tailored to each person’s unique needs, desires, and goals.
Olivia draws from a range of modalities including Motivational Interviewing, the Relational Needs Model, Humanistic approaches, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. She is also highly skilled in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
As a South Asian person of colour who has worked in youth protection, Olivia was deeply moved by the absence of safe spaces where people can freely explore their lived experiences. This understanding of personal, generational, and systemic suffering fuels her commitment to therapeutic healing and destigmatizing mental health. She strongly believes in the power of connection — to oneself, to others, and to the world — and works from trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally sensitive frameworks.
Olivia can also direct bill Blue Cross for First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) clients.
Many clients come to Olivia feeling the weight of trauma, emotional overwhelm, or challenges in their relationships and family life. Some are seeking deeper work through EMDR or IFS, while others want a culturally sensitive space where their full story is welcomed. Clients often leave therapy feeling more connected to themselves, better able to regulate their emotions, and more empowered in their healing.
