SARAH Breck, MA, MFT, CCC
Counsellor | Eating Disorders, Trauma, Anxiety & Family Support | Williams Lake & Virtual BC
Sarah Breck provides in-person counselling in Williams Lake and virtual therapy across British Columbia. She supports young adults, adults, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Many people come to Sarah feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or unsure how to move forward. Some may feel consumed by anxiety, disconnected from themselves or their relationships, or weighed down by experiences that continue to affect daily life. Others may be struggling with their relationship with food, trying to understand difficult emotions, or hoping to repair and strengthen important relationships.
Sarah approaches therapy with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s story. She believes that meaningful change happens when people feel understood and supported. Together, she works with clients to slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and develop practical ways to cope with stress, emotions, and life’s challenges.
You might be feeling this way if
your relationship with food or your body feels overwhelming or confusing
anxiety is taking up too much space in your life
you feel stuck in patterns you cannot seem to change
past experiences continue to affect how you feel, think, or relate to others
you feel disconnected from yourself or the people around you
you want support, but are not sure where to begin
You do not have to navigate this alone. Therapy can help you better understand what you are experiencing and begin creating meaningful change.
Sarah’s Approach
Sarah integrates several evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
These approaches help clients process difficult experiences, understand their emotional patterns, and develop practical tools for coping with stress, anxiety, and challenging life situations.
Sarah brings a strong background in community mental health and has experience supporting individuals and families in rural communities as well as through virtual counselling. This experience has shaped her belief that therapy should be accessible, flexible, and responsive to the realities people are living in their day-to-day lives.
Whether someone is seeking support for an eating disorder, working through trauma, navigating anxiety or low mood, or hoping to strengthen communication within their family or relationship, Sarah offers a steady and compassionate presence.
Her hope is that clients leave therapy feeling less alone in what they are facing and more connected to themselves, their relationships, and the life they want to build.
